Coastal/Flood Engineer

Karen Clark & Company (KCC) seeks a highly qualified Coastal/Flood Engineer to join the Model Development Team to work on developing advanced catastrophe reference models. In this position, you will work closely with other scientists and engineers to develop and manage the vulnerability module of KCC's inland flooding and coastal flooding catastrophe models.

Expected Salary Range: $90,000-$100,000

Responsibilities


+ Develop and maintain the building vulnerability module for inland flooding and coastal flooding

+ Evaluate the effects of wave action, inundation depth, and flow velocity on buildings, contents, and business interruptions across construction types and occupancy types

+ Analyze and apply insurance claims data in the development and validation of the vulnerability module

+ Compile literature and datasets relevant to model development
