Background:

The Cash & Voucher Specialist position holder is responsible for leading the design, development and implementation of programmes, with a primary focus on Emergency Response (RRM) using market based approach, including cash and voucher assistance (CVA). The post holder will support the institutionalization of market-based approaches in Mozambique, within Rapid Response Mechanism Consortium (RRM-Mozambique). The RRM Consortium, despite the challenging cash policy context, has a high ambition level in promoting ethical, effective, efficient, and large-scale market-based programming, either separately (through a ‘basic needs’ approach, . multipurpose cash) or as a modality to achieve sectoral outcomes (. market-based approaches for Shelter, etc ).As such, the position holder is required to lead technical negotiations with the government and influence policy.
