About the Opportunity

Reporting to the Assistant Manager, the Carpenter is responsible for completing repairs/alterations to building structures; for example, walls, ceilings, doors, windows, millwork, abatement, flooring, wall cladding/paneling, Gyproc, etc., while adhering to building, fire, and infection prevention control codes and regulations. The incumbent is also responsible for small in‑house renovations and additions, including Infection Prevention and Control hoarding, as required. This work must be done in accordance with all provincial, building, fire, and infection prevention and control codes and regulations; all pertinent hospital policies and procedures must also be adhered to.
