ID01 is a state-of-the-art Micro-Nano Diffraction Imaging beamline that combines 3D/4D imaging with nano-spectroscopy and diffraction techniques, offering a truly multi-modal approach. The beamline team works in close collaboration with the user community to develop advanced tools that take full advantage of the ESRF’s unique beam coherence and brilliance. Techniques such as scanning nanobeam diffraction microscopy, full-field diffraction microscopy, and Bragg Coherent Diffraction Imaging (BCDI) are uniquely integrated at ID01. These are applied across a broad range of scientific fields, including catalysis, battery technology, materials science, microelectronics, and the physics of growth. The beamline provides a wide range of specific sample environments for in-situ and operando experiments, including high- and low-temperature setups, electric driving of samples and devices, and time-resolved studies down to 100 picoseconds.
