As an automation specialist (IN CANADA), the incumbent in this position designs, programs, tests and commissions automated equipment. Specialties include programmable logic controllers and industrial computing.

• Participate in the design of automated systems based on application specifications and write functional analyses.
• Develop PLC, HMI and SCADA programs;
• Conduct performance tests with 3D emulation tools and ensure compliance;
• Program PLCs, HMI, SCADA, cameras, and other automated equipment;
• See to the start-up and commissioning of automated equipment on site and provide the necessary training to operators;
• Act as a technical resource during the warranty phase of each project;
• Analyze the causes of equipment malfunctions and determine the actions to be taken to restore them as soon as possible;
