As an automation specialist (IN CANADA), the incumbent in this position designs, programs, tests and commissions automated equipment. Specialties include programmable logic controllers and industrial computing.

Participate in the design of automated systems based on application specifications and write functional analyses.

Develop PLC, HMI and SCADA programs;

Conduct performance tests with 3D emulation tools and ensure compliance;

Program PLCs, HMI, SCADA, cameras, and other automated equipment;

See to the start-up and commissioning of automated equipment on site and provide the necessary training to operators;

Act as a technical resource during the warranty phase of each project;

Analyze the causes of equipment malfunctions and determine the actions to be taken to restore them as soon as possible;

Ensure that the automated systems sold are operational and that they meet the customers' expectations;
