The University of Luxembourg is an international research university with a distinctly multilingual and interdisciplinary character.

The Department of Engineering (DoE) is an interdisciplinary group, active in the domains of civil, electrical and mechanical engineering. The profile will be contributing to one of the main research areas of the DoE, namely Production, Manufacturing and Material Engineering. The main focus of this research area is on the development of technological solutions, digitalization and the sustainable and economical use of resources, the offer of competences for the technological requirements of Luxembourg’s and the Greater Region’s industrial and public actors. Beyond the capacities for experimental and laboratory investigations, special emphasis is given to numerical simulation.
