ANTH 100 – Introduction to Anthropology
An introduction to the anthropological concept of culture, its uses in the explanation of human behaviour, and its impact on our understanding of human nature, language, and society. The course will explore cultural diversity through the comparative perspective that makes anthropology unique within the humanities and social sciences. It will also show how anthropologists analyse the connections between politics, economics, gender, kinship, and religion within particular cultures. Position Requirements The successful candidate must
· hold a MA in Anthropology or a closely related field;· have a record of effective teaching at the post-secondary level;· have experience managing classroom and online technologies used by the University of Regina (including UR Courses [Moodle])
