**Job Description**

Receives emergency calls from dispatcher or Supervisor and promptly, safely responds to assignments. Provides direct patient care from first contact through authorized hand-off at all times.

**Responsibilities**

1. Demonstrates the ability to perform clinical/technical/service/administrative tasks

2. Receives emergency calls from dispatcher or Supervisor and promptly, safely responds to assignments.

3. Ensures the safety of the patient and other pre hospital personnel at all times.

4. Performs medical histories and performs physical exams as indicated on patients in the field.

5. Initiates indicated treatment modalities according to written policies and medical control physician orders.

6. Provides direct patient care from first contact through authorized hand-off at all times.
