Position Overview

The successful candidate will join SAMAs Assessment Services Division in this full-time position and can expect to be working in both a field and office environment. Typical responsibilities of an Appraisal Agrologist will include:

• Collecting property assessment information through physical inspections of residential, commercial and agricultural land;
• Applying recognized valuation approaches to determine the assessed value of the properties;
• Inputting valuation data into the Agency's mass appraisal computer system;
• Researching and responding to enquiries from ratepayers and municipal administration.

Required Qualifications and Skills

• Bachelor of Science Degree in Agriculture from the University of Saskatchewan or other recognized university with a major in Soil Sciences, Agronomy, or Agricultural Economics.
