Position Summary

The University Coach (Supervisor) is a faculty member of the Literacy, Early, Bilingual, and Special Education Department (LEBSE) who supervises Teacher Credential Candidates for the Education Specialist Credential Program (Mild‑to‑Moderate and Extensive Support Needs). The Coach serves as a liaison between the University and cooperating schools, providing information to schools and Mentor Teachers and communicating schools’ suggestions back to the University to improve the program.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Meet with Mentor Teachers for an orientation to cover course requirements, expectations, roles, and co‑teaching during the first two weeks of the semester or after student teaching begins.
